About Naomi
- What kind of experience do you have? I have experience teaching from the age of 4 to 80, from starting learning how to hold a violin to guiding some of my fellow students at music college. I have taught both individual and group lessons, mainly privately but I also had a short placement with One Education Music whilst doing a teaching course at music college. - Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate? Yes. - Where and with whom did you train? I trained at the Royal Northern College of Music with Miranda Playfair (associate leader of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra).

Hello! I'm Naomi, I've been playing the violin since I was 7 years old and have been teaching the violin at varying levels for about 15 years now.
Which subject(s) do you teach? I can teach violin right from the very beginning up to very advanced levels (post grade 8).
Tell me about your qualifications. I graduated with a 2:1 degree from the Royal Northern College of Music in 2012.
How much do you charge? I charge £16.50 for 30 minutes, £27.50 for 45 minutes or £30
3 for 1 hour. I normally recommend 30 minute lessons for younger players and beginners, and longer for the adults and more experienced.
Where do you teach? I have a limited number of spaces available to teach at my home in Glossop, otherwise I am willing to travel to your house if it is in Glossop (SK13 postcode). A small extra charge for my travel will be necessary for lessons shorter than 1hr.
When are you available? I have availability Tuesdays during the school day.
Which ages and levels do you teach? I have experience teaching ages 4-80, beginner to music college standard. -
Which qualifications do you prepare your students for? I only enter students in for exams if that is what they want to do and they enjoy learning that way. The qualification board that I use is ABRSM.
Do you have a personal message for students? Learning an instrument can be such a rewarding experience. I really enjoy teaching and helping you progress each week, I aim to keep lessons fun whilst tailoring them all to your individual needs. I look forward to hearing from you.
