About Natalie

- What kind of experience do you have?

I am a Fellow of the London College of Music and have over 20 years of experience in teaching and performing. Playing at venues such as the Fairfield Halls and the Royal Festival Hall. Whether you are pushing for the grade or playing for pleasure, my piano lessons are for all ages and abilities. I offer a good grounding essential to understand the mix of technique, pace, and skills. Practice is an invaluable part of the learning process and will help refine your skills as well as improve your muscle memory.


- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?

None.

- Where and with whom did you train?

London College of Music under the tuition of famous music critic Bryce Morrison and earlier years from 6 years of age, I studied with Concert Pianist Yuriko Maurakami.

- Tell me about some of your current students.

I have students who began learning the Piano with me at a very early age, who I have now successfully got into music colleges across London. All achieving grades 1 to 8 in Piano and grades 1 to 5 in Music Theory which is mandatory in order to continue to beyond grade 6 in Piano.

Playing the piano is like going on a happy voyage of discovery. You discover moments of grace and joy and the very act of playing is a welcome respite from the normal routine. I teach piano because I like inspiring my students to let their musical talents unfurl.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

I teach Piano grades 1 to 8 and diploma level. Theory grades 1 to 5.

- Tell me about your qualifications.

FLCM ( Fellow of the London College of Music) LLCM (Licentiateship of the London College of Music) PGCERT (Post Graduate of the London College of Music).

- How much do you charge?

£50 per hour. £25 per half hour

- Where do you teach?

I only teach from my home. I live in Farnborough Park in Orpington - Near to Hayes, Bromley, Petts Wood, Chislehurst, Beckenham, Shortlands and Sevenoaks.

- When are you available?

All days of the week, from 9.30am till 6.30pm apart from Sunday. Available during term time and school holidays.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I teach all levels from beginner to advanced. Grades 1 to 8 and onto further exams at Diploma level in Piano Forte. Grades 1 to 5 in Music Theory. All the exams I prepare students for, are the most widely recognised worldwide qualification, The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

Grades 1 to 8 and Diplomas in Piano Forte . Grades 1 to 5 in Music Theory.

I’m a warm and engaging teacher that likes to build a rapport with all my pupils. I take a modern and friendly approach to teaching, with customised lessons based on your abilities and pace while aiming to achieve your personal best.
