About Jennifer
No one expects perfection - only growth! That is what I am here for. I have grown students from 16% proficiency to 52% my first year at this school and 50% to 73% last year. I work in a middle school that was recognized for being first in the state of NC for growth in mathematics. I am here to help you get better at math, which in turn, will help build your confidence. Even if you have had a negative experience with math in the past, I’m here to help you change your mindset and believe you can do it!

I am very personable and love working with children! I’m fun - I work in a middle school, so I can be silly too! I am easy going and patient, and communicate well. I will show you multiple ways of doing a math concept so that you can choose which method makes the most sense for you. We will also work on comprehension with word problems and focus on key words to help understand the math problems. I can work alongside your teacher and make sure that we are in the same page to help you be successful. I have had a lot of success with tutoring students over the years.
