About Giulia
I am a law student at the end of my first year. I was born in London to an Italian mother and British father, and moved to Italy at age 2. I was educated in the Italian school system until age 15, when I transferred to an international school in my city. The school was required to teach Italian as if it were a native language, and my degree is considered equal to the Italian Maturità.

I am a goal based teacher, based on the principle that the student's end goals and desires ought to guide the teaching process. The first thing one must to when teaching a language is to understand the starting point of the student and which area they desire to improve. If the goal is to sit an exam in Italian, then a good amount of time ought to be consigned to written comprehension and expression, perhaps with some work dedicated to any literature being studied. On the other hand, if the student wishes to learn Italian because they want to take a trip to Italy or learn to read Italian classics, then the approach will be less academic and more holistic, with a focus on the very experience of knowing the language.
