About Eliza
Hello! I am a current MSc student studying Immunology at UCL. I am a native Chinese/Mandarin and English speaker from Taiwan and have lived in the UK for the past four years.
I love speaking to new people and sharing my native language, and I also look forward to helping you gain the confidence to use a new language with ease!

My lessons allow students to gain confidence in speaking and listening through active conversations in Chinese. For reading, I guide students through texts and support them in learning new/revising vocabulary according to individual needs.
For GCSE and IB students, I plan the lessons around current exam boards and focus on identifying key points to earn marks in the exam.
For non-exam students looking to improve in Chinese or pick up the language, I will focus more on speaking & listening and plan the topics depending on the student's requirements (e.g., for tourism, day-to-day, professional language and professional language conversational skills etc.)
As a native speaker from Taiwan, I am also able to teach reading in Traditional Chinese and Mandarin Phonetic Symbols (Bopomofo).
Each lesson will be around 1 hour (for students looking for more intensive practice before the examination period, the hours could be extended).
