As a native Chinese speaker, I bring both cultural authenticity and a deep understanding of Mandarin to my lessons. My teaching method focuses on practical usage and immersion: I incorporate conversation practice, real-life scenarios, and cultural insights to help students feel confident in their speaking and listening skills.
My Approach:
I use a communicative approach combined with structured grammar and vocabulary exercises. Each lesson begins with a review, followed by new content tailored to the student's interests and goals—whether for school, business, or personal enrichment.
A Typical Lesson:
Each session starts with a warm-up, such as a quick conversation or vocabulary review, then moves into the main topic. We work through dialogue practice, pronunciation drills, and sometimes reading passages, with ample time for questions and interactive practice. Homework is optional but encouraged for reinforcement.
What Sets Me Apart:
I emphasize cultural fluency as much as language proficiency, so students understand not just what to say, but how to say it in real-life contexts. I adapt to different learning styles and can teach students from beginner to advanced levels, whether they're in school or learning out of personal interest.
Ideal Students:
My lessons are suitable for all levels—from beginners just starting their Mandarin journey to advanced learners looking to perfect pronunciation or understand idiomatic expressions.
