About Nigel
Hello! My name is Nigel, and I’m an English language tutor passionate about helping learners feel confident using English in everyday life. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to polish your skills, I create lessons that are friendly, practical, and tailored to your needs. I am from Manchester, England. Teaching has been my lifelong career. I trained to be a Primary School teacher and taught in the UK state system for 8 years. In 1990, I moved to Abu Dhabi, UAE to teach in a prestigious international primary school, (British School Al Khubairat). It was there that I got the travel bug and decided to become an English as an Additional Language (EAL) Teacher. I have taught English in the UAE, Thailand and China. Most of my teaching career has been with the 7-11 years age range but I also have 9 years experience teaching classes of teenagers and 5 years preparing adults for exams such as IELTS and TOEIC on an individual basis.
