The method I choose to use when teaching is very much dependent on the needs of my individual students. I personally am a visual learner, and like to incorporate visual presentations and graphics into my lessons, but will tailor my lessons to the needs of my student and the way that they learn best themselves.
Lessons will begin with a recap of prior knowledge and previous lessons and will build from there. Most lessons will be connected and learning will be cumulative. Fun and interesting teachings techniques will also be introduced to keep your lessons engaging and prevent boredom. I want you to understand the material I will be tutoring you on, rather than just memorise it.
I am a native English speaker, haven't lived all my life in the English-speaking countries in the United States and the United Kingdom.
I studied English Language and Literature in High School at Advance Placement/Introductory University Level, along with Creative Writing and took sat an A Level exam in English Literature for which I received an A.
I am an avid reader and writer, and have had substantial experience teaching English to primary, secondary and GCSE-age-students (all of whom improved by 1 to 3 grades on average) as a foreign language in a school in India, and to Au Pairs in the United States.
I look forward to working with you soon!
