I am a native English tutor from the USA. I have received a top tier TEFL certification from an accredited program. I also have over a year of teaching experience. Most recently I have been teaching an English program in Turkey at a Turkish school. I am currently based in Istanbul.

When teaching a class my top priority is to have my student practice his or hers speaking skills as much as possible from the beginning. I want all my students to feel that my classroom is a comfortable and positive space. This allows them to fully use their skills as well as develop them as quicly as possible. I usually begin my teaching lessons by introducing relevent vocabulary and grammar, then we move right into speaking practice. This helps the students not only learn about the language, but they also become comfortable using what they have just learned in real life. I am also comfortable adapting my lessons to whatever my student need and desires *
