About Jack
For the last few years I have been a student living in London, where I studied Russian and History at University College London. As part of my university degree, I spent a year abroad in Astana, Kazakhstan, where I further developed my Russian speaking skills. Throughout my time spent travelling around and living in Central Asia, I informally taught other students English, mainly through conversational practice and explaining the linguistic and cultural nuances of British English. I am still developing my Russian speaking skills, whilst also learning Ukrainian.

My lessons offer an informal, conversation-based approach for those with a more advanced knowledge of English language. As a Russian speaker, I have valuable insight for native speakers who are more unfamiliar with British English. The aim of these lessons is to develop your conversational skills and knowledge of everyday linguistic nuances in English to make you sound like a native English speaker. Despite being mainly conversation-based, I will also be offering grammatical refinements and vocabulary substitutions throughout the duration of the 1-hour lesson.
