About Sarah
I graduated 5 years ago with a Bachelors degree in Spanish (and Biology!). But the truth is, I learned 90% of the Spanish I know OUTSIDE the classroom when I studied abroad in Chile for 6 months. Seeing what a poor job I felt that my classroom experience did at preparing me for the full-immersion experience in a Spanish-speaking country made me want to teach the student that I used to be in a way that I know now from experience would actually be useful to him/her. I tutored younger students when I returned from my semester abroad until I graduated. Since then, I have been using my bio degree working with the National Park Service, and doing freelance Spanish translating for marketing companies on the side. Now I am excited to be returning to tutoring & can't wait to meet new students looking to gain real-life Spanish skills!
