I can teach French at all levels, from total adult beginners to primary or secondary school pupils taking exams or to university students needing help with their research or dissertation.
If I am teaching a pupil or a university student, I first learn about the exact curriculum of her/his class and the content already assimilated.
I then look for the most creative ways to either go over acquired knowledge and consolidate language or to start new components.
I have compiled an extensive and varied list of teaching aids such as websites, videos, memory games and interaction activities such as role plays and debates.
My other background is art, and I love designing lessons that are engaging and original. While grammar is essential for understanding with clarity all that is being conveyed, a creative and fun approach to using a language is, in my opinion, what makes a success both in terms of school results and fluency in a normal setting.
My past students have had excellent results in their French Highers and a younger pupil got a class prize for French after learning French with me for 2 months. I can provide these refences.
Being French, I can draw easily on French culture, as I read a lot of literature in French and English. I also love films and graphic novels, art so I also use these in the most up to date manner.
