About Thaïs
My background isn't a typical teaching one: before moving into education, I spent years working as a 3D animator and illustrator, and that creative way of seeing things has never really left me. It means I instinctively reach for the visual, the tactile, the unexpected when I'm explaining something.
A tricky grammar rule becomes a diagram. A vocabulary set becomes a story. A speaking exercise becomes a scene to act out rather than a list to recite. I design my own illustrated worksheets and workbooks from scratch, because I find that when something looks considered and beautiful, students engage with it differently, it signals that the work is worth taking seriously.
Creativity in the classroom isn't about making things easier or more entertaining; it's about finding the angle that makes something click for a specific person on a specific day. That's the part of teaching I find most satisfying.

I tailor every lesson to the person in front of me: there's no one-size-fits-all method when it comes to language learning.
For younger students, I use games, illustrated resources, and storytelling to build confidence and curiosity early.
For GCSE and A-Level students, I focus on the specific demands of the exam (oral role-plays, writing structures, listening strategies, and past paper practice) until the format feels familiar rather than frightening.
For adults, lessons are more conversational: we work on what you actually need, whether that's preparing for a trip, brushing up on rusty grammar, or just feeling comfortable speaking again.
I create my own teaching materials —> workbooks, illustrated worksheets, oral prep guides... so lessons are always targeted rather than generic. A typical session lasts 60 minutes, though I offer 90-minute slots for intensive exam prep closer to assessment periods.
I'm a native French speaker from Tours, and I've been teaching across age groups and levels for 7+ years, including in a secondary school in France, a CM2 class at a French primary school in London (FLAM programme), private GCSE and A-Level students, and adult learners. I'm interested in making grammar feel concrete, memorable, and even enjoyable. I have a full satisfaction rate from all my 25+ students!
