My approach
I have done a lot of tutoring and my approach is very student-centred. I am a native French speaker and I teach following your needs. Each lesson is generally built around comprehension, speaking, and writing improvement, but I can also adapt the content to your goals.
How a lesson works
- A short warm-up in French to activate what you already know.
- A main activity based on real material chosen for your level, interests and, if you are preparing for an exam, your syllabus.
- Targeted work on the grammar, vocabulary or pronunciation points that came up.
- Feedback at the end, and a short task to do before the next lesson.
Lessons last between 45 and 60 minutes, in London or online. I prioritise Wednesday and weekend sessions but can also be flexible.
Experience as a tutor
I work in French and English every day, which helps me explain differences between the two languages clearly. I have done French and mathematics tutoring when I was in high school for various students. Last year, I was teaching English to a working professional who needed to enhance his speaking at his job.
Who my lessons are for
Beginners, intermediate and advanced learners, students, and adults wanting to improve their conversational French.
