About Sylvain
I’m Sylvain, a native French speaker from France, now based in Perth.
Before moving to Australia, I spent 16 years working at Airbus in France in production, quality, training and team management.
Throughout my career, I trained and mentored colleagues, coached people in their professional development, regularly presented to groups and managed teams of up to 13 people.
That experience taught me how to explain things clearly, listen to people, identify what they need and adapt the way I communicate.
I now use those skills to help adults learn French in a relaxed and practical way.
You don’t need to worry about making mistakes during the lessons — speaking and making mistakes is part of learning a language.
If your goal is to become more comfortable speaking French for travel, everyday life, work or simply for pleasure, I’ll adapt the lessons to help you progress at your own pace.

My lessons are designed for adults who want to learn practical French and feel more confident speaking it.
Whether you are a complete beginner, already have some knowledge of French, are preparing for a trip to France, or simply want to improve your conversation skills, I adapt each lesson to your level and goals.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and can include:
• real-life conversation and speaking practice
• pronunciation and correction
• useful vocabulary and expressions
• grammar explained simply when needed
• French for travel and everyday situations
• professional French if relevant to your goals
I don’t follow the same programme with everyone. We first identify what you want to achieve, then I adapt the lessons around you.
I can explain concepts in English when necessary, which can be particularly useful for beginners.
My goal is to help you use French naturally and confidently, rather than simply memorising grammar rules.
