About Carla
I'm Carla, a French native speaker living in the UK. I have lived in France until I was 19 years old and I have always been very good at languages, even my own one! At school, I always had excellent grades in French until my baccalauréat. When I moved to the UK I decided to use my expertise in French and help children learning my language. I worked three years as a French teacher in a school, as my student job. I was delivering lessons on the weekends, in person, to different group levels. I am therefore very patient, pedagogue, and passionate about teaching!

I will adapt my technique and methodology to my student depending on their age, level, and needs. I will avoid overloading the lesson with information to make the learning easier, so around one topic per lesson will be approached. For beginners, we'll start with basics such as colours, numbers, sounds, shapes, etc. Then we will slowly start to build sentences. For the more advanced levels, depending on your needs, we can focus on communication (conversational skills) or improving your writing, grammar, vocabulary, conjugation... I can also help you preparing for your French exams and doing your French homework. The lessons will last between 1h and 1h30. I have 3 years experience working as a French teacher, delivering in person classes to children aged between 3 and 13. French is my native and first language, and I also have an excellent level in it (achieved A* at my French baccalauréat), so I can teach high school students and adults too. Moreover, my experience with different levels allows me to be adaptable.
