About Jane
I am a native French speaker with a background in History and Social Sciences, currently completing a postgraduate degree in History. I have also studied Teaching in Higher Education with Harvard’s Bok Centre.
I have always been interested in language, literature, history and culture, and I enjoy helping people gain confidence in French without making lessons feel mechanical or intimidating.
I am patient, curious and attentive to the way each person learns. I particularly enjoy working with students who want to improve their conversational French, deepen their understanding of the language, or connect French with literature, culture and the subjects they genuinely enjoy.

English
I studied Teaching in Higher Education with Harvard’s Bok Centre, which gave me a strong interest in how people learn best. My approach is to start from what genuinely interests each student and use those interests as a way into the language. I believe people progress more naturally when they are engaged by the subject matter, while still keeping a clear structure, high standards, and real attention to grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and accuracy.
Lessons are therefore personalised, lively and rigorous. Depending on your goals, we can work through conversation, literature, culture, current interests, writing or exam preparation, always with the aim of building both confidence and a solid command of French.
