About Alicia
I am currently studying International Relations at King’s College London, with the ambition of becoming a diplomat. Having lived in France for 18 years, French has always been an important part of my life, and I genuinely love its language and culture. I want to teach because I find it incredibly rewarding to see the moment when something finally “clicks” for a student and their confidence shines through. I also enjoy explaining things and communicating with people, which helps me develop skills that are important for my future. As someone who understands both French and British cultures, I can also relate to the challenges of adapting between languages and perspectives. Tutoring allows me to earn money towards my goals while continuing to share a language and culture that I love.

I achieved an International French-British Baccalaureate with Highest Honours, with an overall average of 16/20, approximately equivalent to an A/A* standard in the UK. I am fully bilingual in French and English, with a native-level accent in both languages, making it easy for me to communicate naturally and clearly. I have experience helping friends, my younger brother and family friends, and I have developed a patient and adaptable teaching style. I take the time to understand each student’s needs and learning style, creating a relaxed environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and gaining confidence.
