About Cécile
I come from France, the French language is my mother tongue. I taught philosophy as qualified and graduate teacher around 15 years. I quitted Ministry of Education to write and translate (I belong to ATLF, Association of French Literature Translators). I taught also French as tutor (private lessons) for two years. My qualifications: a master's in philosophy, an "agrégation " of philosophy (1994), a postgraduate certificate (interdisciplinary DEA: "Occidental Civilization 16-17 centuries": philosophy [spec.], literature, English [culture, translation], 2000), a PhD in Women studies (thesis of political philosophy, 2008). I'm still an associate member of a research department (philosophy, literature, ancient and modern world) at the University of Paris 12. I like poetry and music, painting too.
