About Mike
Hi, I’m Michalis, a native Greek speaker from Cyprus and a graduate of the University of Portsmouth, where I studied English Language and Linguistics.
Learning another language myself has helped me understand how challenging it can feel to find the right words or speak confidently. I want to help others discover Greek in a welcoming environment where questions and mistakes are part of learning.
My background in linguistics and experience teaching language learners inform my patient, practical approach. Whether you want to connect with Greek-speaking family, prepare for a trip or explore a new language, I would be happy to support you.

Greek
My online Modern Greek lessons are tailored to your level, interests and goals. Whether you are starting from scratch, preparing for a holiday or improving your conversation skills, we will work at a pace that suits you.
Lessons last 60 minutes and combine speaking practice, useful vocabulary, pronunciation and clear grammar explanations. We practise real situations, such as introducing yourself, ordering food and asking for directions. Beginners can also learn the Greek alphabet and build their reading skills.
I am a native Greek speaker from Cyprus with a degree in English Language and Linguistics from the University of Portsmouth and experience teaching language learners. My approach is patient and supportive, with practical feedback and plenty of opportunities to speak and ask questions.
