About Marouso
Hi there, my name is Marouso. I am a Greek tutor currently based in London where I am pursuing a Master's degree at Royal Holloway.
I grew up in Athens Greece, where I completed my schooling, before moving to Rome Italy to pursue my undergraduate degree.
My bilingual upbringing combined with my more recent acquisition of the Italian language give me insight into the intricacies of language learning and how cultural immersion helps one's understanding.
As your tutor, I aim to create a supportive environment where you can feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. Whether you are starting Greek from scratch, looking to improve your speaking skills, or wanting to connect more deeply with the culture, I will tailor our lessons to your individual goals and needs.

As a bilingual person my experience of the Greek language, as well as teaching it, comes firstly from a place of understanding and being able to explain and navigate the stark differences (i.e. grammar) it has to English.
Through a dual education, my approach resonates with new students and caters to many different learning paces.
For more seasoned Greek students I offer GCSE/A-level exam prep, as well as more advanced conversation based learning.
I hope to make learning Greek an approachable and fun experience by highlighting the cultural influences on the form of the language and how you can use it to express a multitude of new things!
