About Sophie
Ciao! My name is Sophie, and I am a third-year student at the University of Bristol. As a native Italian speaker who moved to the UK for my university studies, I bring an authentic and deep-rooted understanding of my home country's language and culture.
I am truly passionate about everything Italian, from modern literature to ancient Latin—Ovid is my absolute favourite! This love for my heritage is what drives me to teach. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to master advanced Italian, I am here to help you improve your skills and, more importantly, to inspire a genuine passion for the language in you.

As a native Italian speaker, I completed my full secondary education at a 'Liceo' in Italy, graduating with top marks in Italian language, literature, and Latin.
My lessons are tailored to each student—from absolute beginners to advanced learners—and are flexible based on your specific needs, whether you are preparing for school assignments, language certifications, or exam simulations. I offer personalised homework (upon request), detailed corrections of your work, and engaging conversation sessions on topics of your choice. My tutoring experience ranges from teaching the basics of the language to advanced medieval Italian literature. To ensure effective learning and progress, I generally recommend a minimum of one hour per session.
Whether you want to master the grammar or simply speak with more confidence, I provide an authentic and deep understanding of the Italian language and culture.
