About Yuka
My name is Yuka, and I’m a native Japanese speaker from Japan, currently living in Cardiff while studying Psychology at Cardiff University.
I’ve always been passionate about language and communication — not just the grammar and vocabulary, but the culture, the emotions, and the connections that come with it. That’s what drew me to both Japanese teaching and Psychology.
I have over 2 years of teaching experience, including teaching English to students in Japan. Through that experience, I learnt that the best lessons happen when a tutor genuinely listens to their student — understanding not just their level, but their personality, their goals, and what makes them feel confident.
Outside of studying and teaching, I love exploring different cultures, aesthetics, and creative work. I bring that curiosity and warmth into every lesson.

My background in Psychology means I understand how people learn differently, and I tailor every lesson to suit your pace, goals, and learning style. No two lessons are the same.
