About Shin
Hi. My name is Shin. I'm from Tokyo, Japan and have been living in Madrid, Spain since 2013.
I teach Japanese for all levels from beginners to proficiency.
Apart from the normal lessons, I also offer Japanese conversation practice sessions, in which we talk about whatever topics you want so that you can practice Japanese in real life conversations with a native speaker.

Methodology
I use different teaching methods depending on the learner's needs, and apply the most appropriate approach for each case.
If the learner wants to speak and understand Japanese like a native, I recommend that both the learner and I speak, listen, read, write and think exclusively in Japanese throughout the lesson from day one.
If the learner wants to have lessons using some learning material he/she has, we do that.
In other cases, I prepare teaching materials for each learner so that they can develop the very skills needed in each phase. Apart from the teaching materials I create myself, I mainly use authentic materials (i.e. materials made for Japanese people).
I also teach my learners the authentic Japanese grammar that we Japanese people learn in compulsory education and is different from the grammar you find in learning materials for non-Japanese people.
Learning the authentic grammar lets you truly understand the language structures from the Japanese people's perspective.
