About Liza
I am a student at the University of Georgia and I lived in Latin America for 8 years, where I learned Spanish. I am a Cultural Anthropology major with a minor in Latin American Culture studies. I actually plan to study abroad in Costa Rica for the month of July.

My teaching method is focused on helping students communicate (whether through speaking or reading/writing). I usually begin by teaching students vocabulary and basic phrases developing the depth of their communication as the lessons progress. I also believe in allowing students to somewhat control what they learn. I give students homework to come up with their own stories, to talk about their lives, to learn words that they find important. Finally, I am very supportive of activity based teaching where students can build creative thought processes, learn about cultures and actively participate in real life situations.
