About Tong
I have experience tutoring English pronunciation at an English language school, as well as providing private Mandarin tutoring sessions. I am an MA Digital Media and Art alumna of Goldsmiths, University of London.

At the beginning of each session, I encourage my students to set clear goals for what they would like to achieve by the end. I am a patient and attentive listener, and I take the time to understand each student’s individual needs and learning style.
I understand that one approach does not always work for every student. If something is not clear, I am happy to explain the concept in different ways and explore alternative methods until I am confident that the student has genuinely understood it. For me, ensuring that my students feel comfortable, supported, and confident in their understanding is just as important as reaching the goal we set at the beginning of the session.
