About Hening
I am a native Mandarin Chinese speaker with a background in language education and primary school teaching experience in China. I graduated from a Chinese Normal University and am currently studying for an MA in Language Education at the University of Edinburgh. I enjoy working with both children and adults and love sharing the Chinese language and culture in a friendly and supportive way. Teaching also allows me to support my studies and save for my dream trip to Iceland.

My lessons focus on helping students develop confidence in spoken Mandarin while gaining a deeper understanding of Chinese culture. I adapt my teaching methods to each learner’s age, level, and goals, using interactive activities, real-life situations, stories, and visuals, especially for children.
