My lessons are designed for adult beginners and university students who want to learn Mandarin in a practical, supportive, and enjoyable way.
I believe that learning a language should be relaxed and encouraging. Every lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, whether for travel, work, study, or personal interest.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and may include pronunciation practice, useful vocabulary, everyday conversations, listening activities, and cultural insights. I focus on helping students build confidence in speaking Mandarin from the very beginning.
With over 9 years of teaching experience in New Zealand and experience tutoring adult learners in Japan, I understand that every student learns differently. I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual’s pace and learning preferences.
Lessons are available online and are suitable for complete beginners as well as students who would like to improve their conversational Mandarin skills.
