About Olesya
I'm a native Russian speaker with a degree in Linguistics from Moscow State Linguistics University, specializing in Foreign Affairs & Regional Science. Beyond language, I've spent 7 years working in international marketing and communications across the US, Saudi Arabia, and Russia, which means I'm used to explaining complex ideas clearly across cultures and language barriers, exactly the skill that makes a language actually stick.
I bring that same clarity and patience to teaching: structured, practical, and tailored to how you personally learn best, rather than a one-size-fits-all textbook approach. Whether you're just starting out or refining fluency, I'll meet you at your level and keep things moving at a pace that actually works for you.

My approach is practical and conversation-first, you'll be speaking real Russian from the very first lesson, not just memorizing grammar tables. As a native speaker with a Linguistics degree, I know the language from the inside, but having lived abroad myself in the USA and Saudi Arabia, I also know exactly how confusing a new language and culture can feel so I teach the way I'd want to be taught.
A typical lesson mixes structured grammar with everyday situations: ordering food, navigating bureaucracy, small talk, workplace Russian, whatever's actually useful to you. Lessons are fully online and tailored to your level, whether you're a complete beginner or already conversational and want to sound more natural. Patient, personalized, and judgment-free mistakes are part of learning.
