About Siyaphiwa

My name is Siyaphiwa Vilakati, from Manzini, Eswatini. I am a native siSwati speaker.

I grew up in a home where siSwati is everything — how we show respect, how we greet elders, how we laugh, how we tell stories. siSwati is not just words to me, it is who I am.

In Manzini, I am always the one people come to when they need help to explain something. I love to sit down and explain slowly until someone understands. When I hear a foreigner trying to say "Sawubona" and struggling, I want to help. I want to fix it and show them the right way.

I noticed something painful — there is almost no siSwati online. You can learn French, Zulu, even Korean on apps, but not siSwati. Our language is invisible on the internet. I want to change that.

I want to teach because:

1. *I love my language and I want to share it.* I want the world to hear real siSwati as it is spoken in Eswatini — not from a book, but from a person from Manzini.

2. *I love teaching.* I am patient. I can explain the same word ten times with a smile. The best feeling is when my student finally pronounces correctly and we both laugh with joy.

3. *I want to connect people.* Many people love Eswatini, they want a Swati friend, they want to talk to their in-laws, their partner, their colleagues. I want to be that bridge.

I teach in a simple, friendly way on WhatsApp — no heavy apps, just real conversation about daily life in Eswatini. Greetings, market, respect, culture, real talk.

If you learn with me, you will not just learn words. You will learn Eswatini.

Sawubona! My name is Siyaphiwa Vilakati, I am a native siSwati speaker born and raised in Manzini, Eswatini. I am passionate about sharing my language and culture with the world. If you have always wanted to learn siSwati – whether for travel, work, love, friendship, or cultural connection – you are in the right place!

siSwati (siSwati) is a beautiful Nguni language spoken by over 2.5 million people in Eswatini and South Africa. It is a language of respect, warmth, and deep culture. Many people struggle to learn it because there are very few tutors online. I am here to change that.

I teach siSwati for ALL levels, especially complete beginners. My lessons are 100% practical and conversational. We will not just memorise books – you will SPEAK from day one.

In my classes, you will learn:

1. *Greetings and Respect:* How to greet elders, friends, and in formal settings – crucial in Swati culture.
2. *Daily Conversation:* Market, taxi, home, phone calls, making friends.
3. *Pronunciation:* The click sounds, tones, and accents that make you sound like a local.
4. *Culture and Traditions:* Incwala, Umhlanga, family structure, and proverbs (taga).
5. *Custom Lessons:* If you need siSwati for your partner, for work in Eswatini, or for church, I will customise.

My teaching style is friendly, patient, supportive, and very interactive. I speak slowly, I repeat, and I use real-life examples from Manzini life. Lessons are held via WhatsApp Video Call – you need no expensive software, just your phone. I am flexible with time zones (USA, Europe, South Africa).
