About Joshua
I’m a native Spanish speaker from Costa Rica with experience working with teens and young adults in one-on-one and group settings. I enjoy helping students become more comfortable communicating, expressing themselves clearly, and using Spanish in real-life situations. My background in psychology and acting also helps me create engaging, personalized lessons that focus on confidence, communication, and practical use of the language.

I help teens and young adults improve their Spanish through practical, personalized lessons focused on real communication.
Depending on your goals, we can work on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, listening comprehension, school assignments, or preparation for tests and presentations.
I especially enjoy helping students who understand some Spanish but hesitate when it is time to actually speak. My goal is to create a relaxed environment where students can practice, make mistakes, ask questions, and gradually become more confident using the language.
Lessons may include:
conversational Spanish based on everyday situations
pronunciation and speaking practice
vocabulary and grammar support
homework and school-course review
reading and listening comprehension
preparation for tests, presentations, or oral exams
Lessons are adapted to the student’s level, interests, and goals. Whether you need help improving your grade or simply want to feel more comfortable speaking Spanish, we’ll build a plan around what you actually need.
