About Jose Luis
I am a native Spanish speaker born in Spain, and my life has given me a rich international background that helps me connect with students from different cultures and language levels. I spent half of my life in the Dominican Republic, later returned to Spain, and then moved to the UK and the US, which gave me a broader understanding of language, communication, and the challenges people face when learning to speak confidently.
For most of my professional life, I have worked as a translator, and through that experience I developed a deep appreciation for languages and the power they have to connect people. Over time, that professional background grew into a real passion for teaching and helping others feel more comfortable, confident, and natural when speaking Spanish.
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and personalized. I want my students to feel relaxed, understood, and motivated, whether they are beginners or simply want to improve their fluency, pronunciation, or conversation skills.
I believe learning a language should not feel intimidating. My goal is to create a positive environment where students can enjoy the process, build confidence step by step, and develop real communication skills they can use in everyday life.
