About Lorena
Hello! I’m Lorena, a native Spanish speaker with experience teaching students of all levels. Having learned English and French myself, I truly understand what it feels like to learn a new language. All the challenges, the frustrations, and the small victories along the way. This experience allows me to empathize deeply with my students and support them patiently throughout their journey. As a native Spanish speaker with a background in design, I approach teaching with creativity, patience and adaptability. My methodology is based on active learning: I combine conversation practice, grammar exercises, cultural insights and interactive activities to help students gain confidence and fluency. I believe that learning a language should be both structured and enjoyable, so I adapt every lesson to the student’s interests and goals.
A typical lesson starts with a short warm-up in Spanish to practice conversation, followed by a focus on a specific topic such as vocabulary, grammar or pronunciation. I often integrate cultural references—music, everyday expressions, or traditions—so students not only learn the language but also connect with the culture behind it. Each class ends with a small recap and practical exercises to reinforce what has been learned.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my creative background and my ability to design engaging activities tailored to each student’s learning style. I encourage students to think in Spanish from the very beginning, while keeping the lessons dynamic and motivating.
