About Inés
Hello everybody!!
I am a native Spanish speaker who has been living in the UK for about two years. Throughout this time I have been working as a tutor teaching Spanish to a diversity of groups: children, school-attending teenagers and adults. I studied Journalism in Tenerife, Canary Islands, and now I am finishing my Master's Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language. Last year I also obtained my diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools.
For all my lessons I like to use a ''communicative approach''. This means that students are involved in real communication, their natural strategies for language acquisition will be used and this will allow them to learn to use the language. In other words, the whole idea is based on producing meaningful and real communication. As a result, my lessons are more learner-centred and there is a use of authentic materials.
Regardless of the learning approach used during the lessons, I find it necessary to adapt all resources and materials to the needs and characteristics of learners so they can learn in the best and most suitable way.
To conclude, I want to say that I am really passionate about the Spanish language. Being a native speaker is a huge advantage not only because I have an extensive linguistic knowledge, but also because I can teach my students those aspects related to Hispanic culture. I truly believe that language and culture are inseparable concepts that must be taught in every lesson.

I took quite a few classes from Ines to further improve my Spanish. It ended up being leaps and bounds ahead of where I started!
Her method is much better than what I have seen in the past, as I also learnt a fair bit about Spanish customs and habits, Would definitely recommend!
Results were very obvious, as I flew to Seville weeks later and felt very proud as I could easily communicate with the locals.Ines has really helped me to understand the subject in more depth, she has great communication and teaching skills. She makes the subject thoroughly interesting and intriguing. I trust her expertise of conveying the subject details in depth and she ensures my learning needs are fulfilled which has really helped my understanding of subject.
