Hola! ¿Qué tal? I’m Elsa, a passionate and experienced tutor currently teaching Spanish and Catalan at Durham University, with over 3 years of higher education-level teaching experience. Before that, I taught Spanish in a primary school in Manchester—so I know how to make learning effective and enjoyable for all ages!
My lessons are dynamic, interactive, and tailored to your goals. I focus on building confidence through real communication—speaking, listening, reading, and writing from day one. I combine structured grammar with practical conversation, using authentic materials, games, and cultural insights to keep things engaging and relevant.
Typically, lessons last 60 minutes, but I can adapt the length to suit your needs and schedule.
Experience and qualifications:
• Lecturer of Spanish and Catalan at Durham University (3 years)
• Former primary school Spanish teacher in Manchester
• Degree in English and Catalan Studies (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona)
• Master’s in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (UNIR)
