About Melanis

Hey! My name is Melanis, I'm a Colombian living in Mexico. I have a degree in Systems Engineering and been working in the industry of telecommunications for more than 7 years now.
I have lived in Poland and Mexico besides Colombia, and incredibly enough this has given me lots of exposure to Spanish speakers from other Latin American countries and Spain. I LOVE accents and love to understand the uniqueness of languages and accents in different countries.
I love good coffee (even got my own little brand), good conversation and a good craft. I like to paint in my free time. Irrelevant but have 2 beautiful cats. Welcome!! Can't wait to start a conversation and teach you what I can!

About the lesson

My name is Melanis, and I am a native Spanish tutor who focuses on helping students communicate naturally and confidently in Spanish.

My teaching approach combines:
- Clear and simple grammar explanations
- Guided conversation practice from the beginning
- Cultural context to understand how Spanish is really used
- A personalized learning pace adapted to each student

I believe that learning Spanish is not just about memorizing rules, but about using the language with confidence in real situations.

Typical lesson plan:

Each lesson is structured but flexible, depending on the student’s level and objectives:

- Short review of previous content
- Introduction of new grammar or vocabulary
- Practical exercises to reinforce understanding
- Conversation or real-life scenarios
- Feedback and progress review

This structure helps students see consistent improvement while keeping lessons engaging and practical.

What sets me apart as a tutor:

- Personalized lessons adapted to individual goals
- Patient and supportive teaching style
- Balance between grammar accuracy and conversational fluency
- Use of real-life examples instead of textbook-only language
- Focus on building confidence when speaking

Who the lessons are for

- Beginners starting Spanish from zero
- Intermediate learners who want to speak more fluently
- High school or university students needing support
- Adults learning Spanish for travel, work, or personal development

Lessons can be online only and tailored to specific learning needs and accents.
