I base my classes on the individual wishes a student has and combine them with the latest techniques, lots of patience and innovative examples in order to increase their confidence in both speaking and writing and to make the use of foreign languages fun and enjoyable at every moment.
I am a native German speaker and got confident in teaching German through my master studies in history and art history at the University of Salzburg which made me familiar with not only using German on a daily basis but also in academic surroundings. I have been teaching languages for two years now and worked as a tutor for academic writing in a university setting which makes me the ideal teacher if you do not only want to use German for informal conversations but also want to build upon already existing language skills for an academic or professional career using German.
I am a historian and art historian who recently completed two master’s programmes with distinction at the University of Salzburg in Austria and have been working as a tutor for 4 years both in a university setting with adults at the age of 17 to 70 and in an informal environment with children at the age of 4 to 15. As I am also trained as a classical guitarist and singer, I taught both classical guitar and music theory as well as art history with a special emphasis on iconography and academic writing. Besides these subjects I provided courses for in my mother tongue German I also gave one-to-one Italian lessons in a marketing company proving that I am capable of both working in a team adapting to prescribed learning targets and to creatively structure lessons myself. Convinced of live-long learning and adapting contents and teaching methods to every learners’ needs and wishes, I am seeking for an opportunity to support others with their individual learning goals and to develop my skills as a tutor and communicator further.
