About Tania
I’m a Canadian-born English speaker and I have been helping Italians learn English for over two years. Through conversations on Zoom.us, the correction/revision of written texts done in the style of the IELTS exam, or via written messages, I am also available to help you find answers to your questions and deepen your understanding of this amazing and necessary language.

ENGLISH CONVERSATION
We’ll talk about a subject that’s perfect for your level in English. You can choose it, or I’ll choose it for us. You can lead the call, or I can. I am just here to help you speak. During the conversation:
-I will help you with English pronunciation and grammar.
-I will try to help you find more natural ways to say what you want.
-I will use the chatbox to give you corrections or suggestions without interrupting you.
-my job will be to let you talk, so I will to ask you questions and give you the time that you need to express yourself.
-if you have problems expressing a subject in English, I can also try and help you find the right words in Italian. This is particularly useful for medium-level learners or for those who have just started learning English.
-you will (most importantly) achieve confidence in your speaking.
ESSAY CORRECTION AND EDITING
You write an essay (500 words maximum) and then you send it to me for corrections. It can be a subject chosen by me or by you, in the style of an IELTS exam question. The edits will be done in a way that will give you pointers on how to write more clearly and effectively. Through this process:
-I will correct all grammatical and syntax errors, and spelling errors.
-I will develop a detailed list of comments and suggestions.
-I will give you suggestions on how to improve on the vocabulary and terms used in the text so that they sound correct and natural from the perspective of a native English speaker.
-I’ll help you with any questions that you might have on the differences between Italian and English vocabulary and grammar.
IELTS EXAM PREPARATION
Through lessons on Zoom.us and written homework, I will help you prepare and achieve your exam goals. While my sessions will focus on the oral and written parts of the exam, we can also work on reading and listening parts as needed. During exam preparation:
-I will prepare sessions tailored to your needs, that focus on the areas in which you need help.
-you will have homework so that you can progress between calls.
-you can also write to me via Skype or Whatsapp with any additional questions you may have between calls.

All bookings must be paid in advance. Conversations will be done on Skype.

All revisions will be done in Google Docs. 2-3 day turnaround per essay. Maximum 500 words per essay. No refunds.
