About Zey
My name is Zeynep! I'm from Istanbul and moved to UK when I was 14.
During secondary school, I was so keen on getting a job and sat down to think about my strengths. Being bilingual and fluent in two languages immediately popped into my mind, and suddenly being the foreign kid in school was an advantage :)
I started with teaching to family friends' kids and the word started spreading quickly within the community, and soon I was getting offers from more distant circles.
Tutoring has a special place in my heart as it makes me feel closer to my culture and appreciate the beauty of language. It is also incredibly rewarding to receive messages during results day from my students!

I've started tutoring straight after my Turkish GCSEs when I was 15, so the worksheets and lessons I've prepared were fresh with the exam mindset and consider what the specification asks for
Since then, with over 5 years of experience, I've adapted and improved my lessons and teaching from understanding and observing the students. And I still continue to adapt as each student will have something different that works for them.
My lessons are tailored, and prepared with both the student's and marker's point of view.
My lessons are for ALL levels, I've had students who only knew hello, to students who were basically native speakers but needed help preparing for the exam.
A lot of native speakers lose marks on their GCSEs as they don't know what's required of them, which is a common mistake.
(I also offer Turkish lessons, but please do note this ad is specifically GCSE targeted!)
