About Jerry
Hi, I'm Jerry! I am a network engineer with hands-on experience in Network Operations Center (NOC) environments, firewall configurations, and practical network design.
My interest in networking started with building hands-on labs and troubleshooting real-world traffic flows. Through my work and certification path (including holding an active JNCIA), I’ve gained a deep appreciation for how foundational concepts like subnetting, IP addressing, routing protocols, and security policies connect in practice.
Teaching allows me to turn abstract textbooks into logical, step-by-step concepts. Whether you are struggling with university coursework, preparing for entry-level certs, or looking to build your first practical network setup, my goal is to help you master the material without getting lost in unnecessary jargon.

I believe networking concepts make the most sense when you can visualize and interact with them rather than just memorizing theoretical models. My lessons combine clear conceptual breakdowns with hands-on application:
Visual Diagrams & Flow: We trace packet flows, header encapsulation, and routing/switching logic step-by-step so you understand why traffic moves the way it does.
Practical Lab Exercises: Theory is reinforced using practical tools like Packet Tracer, GNS3, or virtualized environments to build and troubleshoot real routing and security topologies.
Real-World Scenarios: I bridge textbook theory (OSI model, subnetting, TCP/IP) with actual industry practices used in enterprise infrastructure and Network Operations Centers (NOC).
Lesson Structure & Length
Typical Duration: 1 hour per session (1.5 or 2-hour sessions available for deep-dive lab exercises or intensive exam preparation).
Format: Interactive and student-led. We begin with a brief review of key concepts, move into live demonstrations or lab walk-throughs, and finish with a Q&A to address tricky edge cases.

Certified Professional: Certified Network Engineer holding active industry certifications (including JNCIA).
