About Kaleigh
I am 20 years old and a recent graduate from University of Pikeville. I work as a CVT RN in Tennessee and plan on furthering my education, so I try to keep my studying fresh (CRNA fingers crossed!). I was valedictorian of my program, but it took a lot of trial and error of studying.
I went through my program with my friends and boyfriend who all had very different study methods. For example, my best friend studied by listening to videos for hours and writing every single word, my boyfriend studied by being taught by me and coming up with silly ways to remember, and I studied by turning every topic (even simple) into a patho sheet and simplifying topics.
I think nursing school and NCLEX flies by once you find what clicks for you!!

My first semester of nursing school was so difficult, but then I learned how to apply critical thinking and it all clicked. It's not about how MUCH you study. It's about finding what method makes it work for you. I personally used a patho-sheet style of studying, but I have also tutored many different styles, such as study boards, imagery, Gizmo, etc. At the end of the day, it comes down to making your critical thinking come into play!
