About Catherine
I am a new teacher. However, I have a lot of experience in education. I have worked as a paraeducator for over 3 years and during that time I have worked with children with a variety of intellectual capabilities. I have also worked in an after-school program helping to build the skills of students who need additional support in both math and reading. I enjoy getting to know my students so that I can shape the lessons to fit their abilities and interests.

I love teaching math in a way that is fun and educational. A typical lesson will begin with a discussion about what goals we hope to achieve. I will ask what might be confusing about the lesson and then I will continue by breaking down the lesson in a way that is most beneficial for my student. Lessons are designed for the individual and their goals in order to fill in any gaps they might have.
