About Nicola
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching for 4 years; I have experience teaching piano and trumpet as a private tutor, teaching individually and in group situations. Since living in London, I have been freelancing with orchestras including the London Mahler Orchestra, the Young Musician's Symphony Orchestra, Fulham Opera, the Arch Sinfonia and the Women of the World Orchestra. Before moving to London I played as principle trumpet of the National Youth Chamber Orchestra and the National Youth Wind Orchestra. I have also played in concerts as a solo pianist.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?

- Where and with whom did you train?
For trumpet I have trained with David Thomas (Welsh national guard) and Paul Denegri (head of brass at Wells Cathedral School). I am currently studying with Bob Farley and John Hutchins at the Royal Academy of Music. For piano I have trained with Hayley Savage and Lynn Mitchell.

- How much do you charge?
£20 half an hour, £30 per hour.
- Where do you teach?
I can travel to student's homes or teach in my house depending on what the student prefers. I am based in North West London but am willing to travel to most areas of London.
- When are you available?
I am flexible for teaching, get in touch to arrange suitable days/times.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach cornet or trumpet, piano and music theory to all ages and abilities.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
All grades; ABRSM or Trinity Guildhall and diploma.
