I am passionate about English, particularly grammar, writing, and accent reduction. I am a writer with much experience helping students excel in their English language skills. I make it my interest to meet you at your level and to focus on your goals. We will capitalize on your strong points while developing your weaknesses into strengths. My areas of expertise include pronunciation/ accent reduction, writing (in most genres), grammar, proofreading/editing, and conversation. However I am also trained in TOEFL preparation, business English,
academic English writing, as well as syntax and phonetics of languages as a whole (which will help me gain perspective of your linguistic point of view.) Your lessons will be at your pace, focusing on what you and I agree is the best course of action to meet your individual needs, using my strengths and training to achieve your goals.
I utilize a variety of techniques, including but not limited to the following: games, role playing situations, music, audio stories, reading material and discussion, writing exercises, worksheets, conversation (to practice speaking and listening), and more.
