About Caroline
I hold a degree in Technical Arts and Special Effects as well as a PGCE up to MA level, specialising in Teaching for the Creative Industries at FE and HE level.
Having ten years experience making and performing for theatre, film and the creative industries as well as 7 years teaching practical art based subjects I am confident teaching a diverse set of skills. I have been an occasional visiting industry lecturer to London Universities and am currently an online tutor and course creator for an International Arts school.

Having taught Prop Making and Special Effects in a studio setting up to Foundation degree and then BA (hons) level, for the last 7 years, I would be happy to offer one-off student support, 1:1, online sessions anywhere from 30minutes to 1.5 hours. I am confident teaching 16yrs+, adults, mature students and would consider art GCSE students who are able to display some self initiative.
Sessions could include one time advisory classes (on material use and/or technique), a series of sessions to make an object from start to finish, or I could demonstration a process for you to try later on in your own time. I am happy to discuss dissertation themes, proof read and provide feedback on critical, contextual and art theory study materials too.
I would be prepared to travel anywhere in the UK to facilitate workshops in life casting, puppet making and moulding and casting techniques. These may work well for larger groups where facilities, studios or workshops exist and if travel and accommodation expenses can be covered.

The free class would be a meeting to discuss student expectations and meet one another to ensure compatibility.
