About Laura
I am a freelance oboist and music teacher based in Kidlington. I am passionate about music education for students of all ages, and seek to inspire and enthuse! I am an experienced woodwind and theory teacher. I have previously taught at Croydon Music and Arts and Bromley Youth Music Trust. I am a teacher at Oxford County Music Service. MPerf with distinction - Guildhall School of Music and Drama (2017) BMus 2:1 - Royal Northern College of Music (2015)

I tailor tuition to my students' needs, goals, interests, and personalities. I want every student to have fun while learning! I use theory and music history within my instrumental teaching, so that my students develop their overall musicianship. I have taken many students through ABRSM exams from grade 1 to grade 8 and beyond. I hold EduCare certificates in Child Protection in Education (11 to 18 years) - Level 2 and Safeguarding Young People - Level 2, and have a current DBS.
