- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach oboe, recorder and early years music to students of all ages (age 0+). Much of my teaching is based on the Suzuki Method, providing a comprehensive musical education in a fun way that enables children to become confident in their ability to learn, develop and enjoy music.

- How much do you charge?
Oboe lessons are charged at the rate of £15 / half-hour or £30 / hour.
Recorder lessons cost £150 per term. This includes:
-8 individual lessons (each 30 minutes)
-2 group lessons (each 45 minutes)
- Where do you teach?
I teach at my home in the City of Durham.
- When are you available?
I am available to teach on weekdays at various times - morning / afternoon / evening
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach a wide range of ages and levels:
-Early Years music to those aged 0+
-Recorder to those aged 4+
-Oboe to those aged 8+
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I prepare my students for ABRSM exams when appropriate and mutually agreed.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have previously worked for local music services - teaching oboe, recorder and early years music in schools and at local music centres. I have also taught a large number of private students over the years and I enter pupils for ABRSM exams when appropriate. I have qualified with the British Suzuki Institute as one of the first Suzuki recorder teachers in the UK and I have a great deal of teaching experience, having taught pupils between the ages of 0 and 40+ in both individual and group settings. I very much enjoy working with young people and I have led a number of music workshops in the community through organisations such as 'Live Music Now' and the Wigmore Hall 'Chamber Tots' scheme.

- Where and with whom did you train?
I trained in oboe performance at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, in early music performance at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Switzerland, and as a Suzuki recorder teacher with the British Suzuki Institute. My teachers included: Katharina Arfken, Katharina Spreckelsen, Gail Hennessy, Richard Simpson, Gordon Hunt, David Walter, Christine Swain, and Nancy Daly.
