About Chloe
Chloe Edmondson is a Pianist and Violinist who delivers daytime music lessons to home-educated children in and around Stafford.
Chloe began learning the piano at the age of 6 under the guidance of composer and educator Richard Hubbard. Shortly after, Chloe began the violin, and studied for several years under the guidance of acclaimed East Anglian violinist Beth Spendlove. Chloe then began the flute.
Before finishing school, Chloe had achieved Grade 5 Music Theory (Distinction), Grade 8 Practical Piano (Distinction), Grade 8 Practical Violin (Merit) and Grade 5 Practical Flute (Merit).
Chloe then studied at Keele University where she achieved a BSc (Hons) degree in Music and Psychology, specialising in piano performance, under the guidance of Russian concert pianist Tatyana Iskandarova.
On the violin, Chloe co-led the Keele University Philharmonic Orchestra, and played in numerous venues, including Omagh Cathedral in Ireland, and more locally Victoria Hall in Stoke-On-Trent. As a pianist, Chloe accompanied undergraduate students for degree recitals.
More recently, Chloe has led the University Hospital Orchestra in Stoke-On-Trent.
With a degree in Music and Psychology, Chloe understands how the brain learns, processes and responds to music. Chloe's lessons go beyond teaching notes; Chloe provides a supportive, stress-free environment designed to build confidence, and make learning an enjoyable journey for children of all ages.
As a parent, Chloe understands how busy family life can be. Chloe's teaching business is based around flexibility. Lessons can take place either at Chloe's home in Weston, near Stafford or at her pupils' homes, to fit around her pupils' families.
Chloe is a proud member of the Independent Society of Musicians (MISM). Chloe holds an Enhanced DBS check and Public Liability Insurance.

Most music teachers only offer weekends and evening. I specialise in daytime, term-time lessons-Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm- so music fits naturally into your home-educated day.
With a BSc (Hons) in Music and Psychology, I understand how children's minds work- and every lesson is designed around that.

As both a piano and violin teacher, I can accompany your child on the piano during their violin lessons. This makes lessons more musical and more fun!
From first notes to ABRSM exams, I draw on a range of method books to suit each child's pace, personality and what they respond to, while building strong technique and real foundations.
My experience goes beyond the classroom. I have led and co-led amateur orchestras on the violin, and worked as a piano accompanist for undergraduate degree recitals, so I bring a real depth of musical experience to every lesson.
I love helping children build confidence as they take their first steps in music, and also welcome children who already play a little and want to continue their musical journey.
