About Matthew
Are you looking for a way to improve your technical guitar skills? Are you interested in developing your theoretical understanding of music? Would you love to write your own music and hone your live performance skills? My name is Matthew, and I am the owner of Guitar Function, and my goal is to make you a better guitarist and overall musician.
My students range from 6 to 70, and I create bespoke lessons based on your level and ability. I also offer courses in various styles covering the most popular genres. So, come and learn any song or style, from Disney songs to funk guitar, nursery rhymes, and fat rock riffs.
I will create a progressive plan just for you. You control the schedule and the lessons’ style to fit your musical, learning, and practical needs.

I offer online and face to face lessons
Online lessons
With more flexible timetabling and no travelling involved, online lessons are the perfect solution for anyone with a busy life. All you need is a computer/tablet/phone and the internet to take advantage.
Lessons usually take place on Google meet, but we can use Skype, Zoom, FaceTime, and WhatsApp, they are all easy to use and require little or no setup time and experience.
All course materials and songs are sent to you via email.
