About Anne
I am a student in agricultural science at the Humboldt University in Berlin. In addition to my studies, I worked as a translator (DEU-ENG) for companies and a private university. In addition, most of my private social contacts and work communication are in English.

First of all, it is important to take away a common 'fear' or nervousness of the language itself from the student. We all know this well from our school days - be it math, physics, physical education or now English as a subject. Classes are structured, which means that I try to go from a general text understand to detailed translation methods. Do you understand what the text is about? What is the theme? Can you roughly tell me in German what that text is about? Then sentence by sentence is analyzed, the vocabulary expanded and grammar explained. My main goal is for the student to manifest experiences of success and develop self-confidence which on a bigger scale may lead to overall improved skills and tools.
